I’ve been a storyteller for as long as I can remember. My journey began back in elementary school when we were asked to write a simple three-page story. Mine ended up being sixty pages long. I can still recall the thrill of reading it to the entire school, feeling the energy in the room as my words came to life. From that moment, I was hooked. Writing became my way to explore new worlds, express emotions, and connect with others. That early spark led me to major in creative writing in college, where I fell even deeper in love with the craft—the creativity, the freedom, and the joy it brings me have never faded. Writing has never felt like work to me; it’s always been fun, an escape into worlds of imagination and emotion.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats: nurse, nurse educator, journalist, and teacher. Each role has shaped my perspective and deepened my understanding of people and their stories. I love that everyone has a story, and I find joy in finding those stories and then crafting my own. Reading has always been an essential part of my life, and that love for reading continues to fuel my writing. I want to create those same kinds of worlds for others—the ones that pull you in, make you feel something, and stay with you long after the last page is turned.
